It’s Friday and the boys have a day off from school due to the teachers having a professional development day. Not that it matters really other than I actually got to sleep in rather than get up and take them to school. Seeing as I didn’t get to bed until 0400 again it was a nice change in routine. I had an unprecedented five hours of sleep it was grand. The boys are doing whatever they do while I’m working in my office (or pretending to work as I write this). Tonight Hercules (my oldest son) and Hera (my wife) are going out for a mother/son get together, or something of the like, and that leaves Apollo (my youngest son) and I home for a father/son night. We’re going to build an igloo and I’m finally going to “officially” best him in a game of Mario Kart.

On the other side of the spectrum I’ve decided that I need to make the west ways cross-country trip again and have put things into motion for that. I’m looking at the middle of May as the time slot and will be on the Island over the two-four. That should give me loads of time to see everyone that I need to, create new plans for the coming year, and take some time to do some work out in the virgin forests. I have a thing for wild spaces and love the gigantic trees all over the place. I’m going to see if on this trip I don’t have to hastily come up with some technique for bear and mountain lion encounters, but then again that’s half the fun. I’ll be doing this tour alone as the family can’t take the time to make it with me (not to mention the expense of such a trek), but that’s alright too as it allows me to condense things a lot for a shorter but very efficient foray over 4000km from home. You just have to love the vastness of the country!

As far as the Palatium is concerned I’ve been working on my new set of Dream Classes for the Circle. I’m looking to post them beginning in March. I just wanted a complete change from my usual teachings and thought dreams would be a great place to visit. People in the chat channel have been bringing up dreams and we’ve been interpreting them quite regularly lately which lead me to create a class to help out.

Since it is happily snowing outside and covering everything with another 15-20cm of snow (6-8 in) I thought that I’d dust off another old writing that happens to have something to do with snow.  Enjoy!

Snow Wars

Under the electric buzzing of the parking lot lights the snow falls softly, sparkling as it makes its way to the ground. Do the flakes of snow know what is in store for them when they hit the heated windows of my car? Have they been briefed of the situation? Are they bravely falling on in hopes that it won’t happen to them, or blindly following orders marching to their doom? And here I sit somewhat filled with guilt as I blatantly murder thousands upon thousands of pure and innocent snowflakes with my fully powered defrost. I see each flake hit the window and try to hang on in vain before I melt its body and watch its liquidized form join that of its murdered friends as they flow down the glass. But they’ll rise again, I know they will because they do reform and regroup. And they’ll attack me again perhaps when the car sits idle and the will cover it and overtake it to win the war. A battle waged by innocent looking flakes of snow against warmth and heat. “Wage on,” I say, for this fight I will not lose and I gleefully turn the defrost up one more notch.

It’d be difficult for most people to comprehend if someone said that they didn’t have a favourite place to be, or maybe even a safe spot.  Energies continually swirl around the world and make some places hot spots of positive, or negative energy while others happen to be good neutral pools of energy.  Of course not every place has great energy significance - sometimes it’s merely an emotional draw that makes someplace special.  The picture in this post is of a gathering woods on a piece of land that’s been in my family for far longer than the country it is currently in.  Besides having grown up running through these woods they also happen to sit upon a joining place for many energy streams which makes them ideal for gatherings and ensuring proper energy flow.

Why are such places important?  Well, it depends who you talk to but most people will simply tell you that performing psi in a spot that readily gives forth energy is far easier than doing so in the middle of a concrete jungle where energy is dispersed and dilluted.  I can atest to learning the how’s of techniques in the woods so that I would understand the ability and then learning to be efficient enough with it in order to take it to a place where only my energy was enough to sustain the effect.

Really - I think everyone should find and access some place like the one pictured (above a natural joint, or energy pool) and then they’d realize things much faster.

As I was searching through my servers I found some of my older writings that once graced my personal website. Though I haven’t had a personal site in years I still have my old “spontaneous ink” work. I actually still write from time to time when I’m inspired. Perhaps I’ll share pieces as space allows.

Mysteries of life unraveling before my eyes, and yet not everyone can see them. It doesn’t seem to be because they aren’t there to see just that others don’t believe. And yet, with that said, there are those that do believe as they sit on their park benches feeding the birds. Why the sky is blue, when the winter comes, or how the beginning of a life will eventually have an end. There are people that believe nothing until it is proven, and those that believe only in faith; conspiracy theorists, theologists, psychics, and scientists. Some people still believe that man hasn’t walked on the moon or created cures to diseases that have plagued the ages. Some people do not believe in a higher power, a God if you will. Now here is where I say that none of these ideals is wrong or totally untrue but all are inherently flawed. There is, and most likely will never be, a way to prove one existence over another. So I say let go of the evolutionary ideas your ancestors learned while still lemurs, or unstick yourself from creationism. What rings as true is that we’re here now and like it or not we have to work together. With the realization that humans are untrusting of those that have different customs, cultures and beliefs we must put aside our inbred fears grasp onto Pandora’s hope and become one. Not one person with one idea, but a group of individuals working together towards the betterment of ourselves. In closing put down your defensive nature and accept your neighbour regardless of who they may be.

Though this will serve to be primarily a personal blog site I thought I’d start with something Psi Palatium related.

The beginning of the Psi Palatium (and not entirety at large) is a story that isn’t told very often; however I am asked occasionally about our origins.  Seeing as this is the first post in my, hopefully often updated, blog I thought it only fitting to begin at the beginning.

It all began back in late 1994 when I took delivery of my brand new Pentium-class computer.  With such raw power available to me I was able to surf the web (as it were) at speeds never before imagined.  It was during one of my long jaunts on the Internet that I stumbled across an Online psychic community that was run by AMPsychic.  After being a member for some time AMPsychic made me an Operator in his Undernet chat channel and I (along with many other operators) would give free psychic readings to visitors to the community.  It was during my days as an Operator in AMPsychic’s community that }PsiBOT{ was first created and that I continued to hone my psychic-at-a-distance skills.  Unfortunately as happens a division appeared in the community and rather than choose sides I decided to take my leave of both communities and started the Psi Temple in 1997, which morphed into the Psi Palace and eventually stuck with the name Psi Palatium.  Shortly after starting the Palatium AMPsychic closed his community and then reopened it on MSN as Psychic Readings and Chat and changed his nickname to OldReader.  His community is still available on Multiply; however it is now run by extended operators has OldReader himself passed away in 2007.

The Psi Palatium website (which is overhauled every couple of years) is the main focus of articles and lessons presented by the staff and experienced members of the community.  As it sits right now there are almost 600 entries and I have all of AMPsychic’s material to post still.  But the chat channel is the true heart of the community.  The IRC chat channel keeps the staff and members in contact and allows us to innovate and continue to learn as the years roll by.  We’ve also been witness to many members that return after being away for a number of years only to find their friends and community right where they left them.

While typing this I realize that the Psi Palatium’s 12th anniversary just passed by and I can’t think of a better testiment to an Online community than to see it still thriving after more than a decade.

So, that’s the story of how the Psi Palatium sprang forth.  Of course I left out the parts about the long hours of dedication by the staff to keep things going all these years but I’m quite sure you would have guessed at that already.
