The last few days of rain have allowed me to get the house back up to snuff after our little influx of water. Everything is back in place and we’re again ready to go. Apparently those renovate a room in only a couple of days shows are true after all!
Tomorrow is Canada Day and Hera and the boys are hoping the rain holds off so they’ll have fireworks. We haven’t decided whether we’re going to go to the park or down to the beach yet, but either way as long as it isn’t raining it’ll be fine.
Nothing truly exciting is going on these days. It’s been pretty standard summer-time fun with swimming and the like. Now that Hera has some holidays I am going to sail a little more just to get that in - it’s an escape you know.
And as always my life continues integrated with psi - how about yours?

So a tornado went through yesterday - no one was hurt here on Olympus (it somehow went around us). We did have enough water that part of the basement flooded, but not much damage and the cause has already been rectified. It’s always something for fun and new to keep me on my toes. Mind you my neighbours probably think me crazier than usual since I was outside in the storm fixing issues with neighbours houses and ensuring that those that were in the wrong place needed to move and seek shelter. I realized I was going to get wet so I put on my bright orange swimsuit and my ever loved “I’m Evil” tshirt (thanks Aaron). Believe it or not I was having a blast!
I finally fixed my lawnmower, so I don’t have to use my neighbour’s massive front-wheel drive mower anymore (though it is still stored in my garage). I’m back to my little red mower that could. I tuned it up, gave it an oil change and sharpened the blade while I had it apart and wow does it ever run like a top now. Just to put it through its paces I cut the yards and it performed exceptionally well.
We made it through Day 1 of summer vacation, so there’s only another couple months to make it through. I do believe we’ll be going to the Chalet in a couple of weeks for a getaway. Nice little distraction in the Northern woods. Let’s see if Hera decides to play face-to-face with wolves again this year. Personally I’m betting on the bears coming back, which is a great experience to use some inter-species psi and educate the boys at the same time.
I’ve got a bunch of drywalling and painting lined up for the next couple of weeks as we continue to turn the main floor of the house into whatever Hera’s new vision is. She’s been watching too many of those design shows and reading through the design magazines again. I do admit to it looking really quite nice though.
All typed out for now … BOTE

Wow, what a a weekend. Not only was there the ever present things to do with psi, but it was just a go go go time too.
Though the air show was canceled for Saturday due to a low ceiling we still had a large get together and gathering that lasted most of the day. In there somewhere I threw in dinner with the in-laws and a birthday party for my stiece [sic].
Sunday was filled with a picnic, the air show, and a family reunion (which we’re crazy enough to throw every Father’s Day). It was nice to see some 200 people that I am apparently related to. After all these years I’m actually beginning to remember names and how I’m related to everyone. I thought I’d get some good downtime too, but HQ called and all that went out the window to solve some new issues
Busy? Yes. But I had a great time too! You don’t really mind the busy as long as you’re having fun!

It was raining today which gave me ample opportunity to stay indoors and work. Since I work with computers most of the time having a dull day outside does make it easier to stay indoors (otherwise I drag my laptop outside and get a sunburn).
I did do some dancing in the rain earlier in the day though. Just a good old fashioned cleansing.
Other than that not a lot is going on beyond the usual family life, work, and of course saving the world psi.
I’ll keep you posted should anything change.

The forecast is supposed to be nice for the next while - I realize I could just look into the future myself but that takes energy and the nice weather people at Environment Canada are supposed to know what they’re doing. They’re not psychic, so they have to make guesses on probabilities without knowing the likelihood of each step of that probability. But I give them the benefit of the doubt.
The nice weather has meant that the boys and I have had loads of time to play outside. After putting on hats and lathering on liberal amounts of sunscreen to protect them (their red hair and blue eyes equates to spontaneous combustion upon exposure to sunlight) we venture forth. The poor trampoline has already gotten a workout from the absolute pounding its received having the boys and their friends and families (alright and sometimes me) flipping and jumping on it. I’ve had to tighten the playground equipment bolts again from the traffic load playing tag or what-have-you that loosens everything over time. The sandbox constantly has holes on the go, tunnels to China (I knew there was a reason we put 1.5m of sand in there) and race tracks etc. The outdoor train set has been well received and provides hours of entertainment as well as comfortable shade under the well placed sun umbrellas.
The newest thing this year has been the addition of swimming lessons. Though it’s been more than a few years since I actually did any full time work in it I’m technically a fully trained lifeguard. I went through my medallion and cross training at quite an early age and ended up doing both twice because I wasn’t old enough to receive them upon graduating the first time. After that I took swim leadership courses and the class trainings while waiting to be old enough to take the NLS training. All that aside and fast track several years, recertifications, and pools later and I end up training my kids to swim. Apollo is like a fish while Herc is a little more cautious of the water. I don’t blame Herc at all since his body type allows him to float like a rock while the leaner Apollo is able to stay afloat a little easier. I don’t expect them to be excellent swimmers, but I do hope they catch on and like the water. I find it much easier to have people at ease in different mediums … ground, water, etc. Not to mention it’ll make it a lot easier to take them on the sailboat when they can swim. Yes, the boys wear life jackets but at the same time I’d like to ensure that they are able to swim too.
None of this has anything explicitly to do with psi, but at the same time you can see where psi is woven in and out of my everyday life. It really isn’t an add-on to - it really is an aspect of life.
Well, enough of my ramblings for the day we have a gathering to get ready for.
Best of the Energies Everyone!

I’ve been loving the lightning storms that come and go this time of year. I haven’t had much to do with them .. really .. just like watching them or I suppose experiencing them is a better term for it.
Work? Yes, on overdrive attempting to finish a bunch of projects while still getting all the regular things my company does finished. Everyone has been jumping around in a well oiled and orderly fashion making sure that everything is covered.
Play? Of course! Loads of time with the boys and with friends.
Psi? It’s part of my life, so the answer has to be yes. Healings have been the calling recently and I have a few that I need to step up to the plate on. Getting all the energies together (ducks in a row) takes some doing though. There have been some major shifts lately trying to shake up people into responsible thinking. It’s a slow process but from what I’m hearing and seeing in the ripples it’s working.
Other projects? Yes, but no news for now.

We’re getting closer to the official start of summer (those of you without four seasons have no idea how exciting it is to be able to go outside in shorts and t-shirts again). This also happens to mean that I have to add in looking after the outside of the house to my list of ‘things to do’. I really don’t mind it though since I like tending to the gardens and lawns. Speaking of the lawn I still haven’t repaired my lawnmower but since my neighbour continues to store his mower at my house I continue to use it as necessary (yes, I oil, clean and fuel it when I’m done).
We’re looking at new fencing. Oh, the joys of building fences (after all these years I spend dismantling mental fences too hahaha). Seriously I have one fence that really needs to be rebuilt. The section that needs rebuilding is about 50m long and 2m high. To be honest it’s needed replacement for a couple of years, but I’ve been putting it off since fences are one of the things I really don’t like to do. For some odd reason I have no problem with decks, but as soon as I go vertical I’m done for.
Trains? Yes, I’ve always had a little bit of a fascination with them. The boys have an unofficial Island of Sodor in the train room, ride on trains in the yard and I’ve recently found a lot of O-gauge styled outdoor track and rolling stock in my garage. Is that it? No, I also have an HO-gauge setup. But this story revolves around the Lionel outdoor stuff that I’ve come across in my garage. The boys and I have decided that an outdoor train set would be a wonderful idea and have devoted a small 3m patch to creating a little layout to enjoy.
Why all this craziness of different things? It’s all about balance. What?! Balance! There needs to be an equal amount of work with play. If you aren’t de-stressing and winding down after doing whatever it is that stresses you up then you aren’t balancing yourself. The more imbalance you create within yourself the more apt you are to succumb to some random energetic nonsense.
I love to work - I love to play. Sure I’d rather play more than work, but if I play too much I find a deep seated need to work for that balance.
Is there a moral to all of this? Not really - it’s all just meant to showcase how psi and its lessons are not a separate aspect of life, but a very intertwined necessity of reality.

I finally got around to changing up the Article Archive page of the site to include a new PDF file download area. As I get through creating actual PDF e-books out of our works I will post them in this new section of the website for personal use.
There is a new Chat feature on the website that is FAR easier to use. Just click and start chatting - that simple. I’ve been thinking about changing things up for awhile but as always something else caught my eye first. Well - I followed through without getting distracted this time.
I’ve said this before but I really do have a lot of articles and information waiting in the wings to be included in our archives. To be perfectly honest the admin side of the site never got finished with the last website change so it was difficult to change things around. This oversight has recently been fixed which is why I’m again adding things to the website.
Hercules and Apollo are looking forward to the quickly approaching summer off and I’m desperately looking for things to keep them busy for a couple months. I’ve stacked the media and play rooms with new things and added some great features to play central. Hopefully between all the stuff and their friends Hera and I can keep the evil red-heads occupied!
A story? Sure.
Have you ever modified a bubble machine? Not like the little ones but the ones that blow thousands upon thousands of bubbles a minute. It just so happens that we have one in the backyard that’s seen its share of modification to increase production. After my latest round of modifications we turned it on and were having a wonderful time suffocating in the absolute barrage of bubbles when the wind picked up a bit. Wouldn’t you know it the whole mass of glycerin strength bubbles got picked up and deposited in my neighbours yard not to mention that the wind changed direction and we were quickly drowning their yard up to the bursting of their 6ft fence. What happened next? Why my neighbours (both retired) emerged from the house, turned on their radio and danced together around their backyard through the bubbles. They later thanked us for such a wonderful and thoughtful event. Bubbles anyone?!
