Hera has begun making lists of things we need to remember when making the trek to the cottage for the week. Of course the cottage isn’t really the “rough it in the woods” type of cottage that you may have in mind for a Canadian mid-summer getaway. To be quite honest it’s more of a chalet that can comfortably sleep 20 people. All the modern amenities are included of course, since it’s about the only way I could convince Hera to go “camping”. We have a nice week away with the six adults (Hera and I, my sister and brother-in-law, and cousin and his wife) and our five boys. Most of our time will hopefully be spent in the lake and just lazing around though I’m sure we’ll hit up some amusement by walking through the tops of the trees on little tiny ropes that really shouldn’t have more than a couple pounds on them.
Craziness for sure when you get us all together, but good memories for the kids too.

I’ve been watching the global energy shifts and the local ones too and have been quite busy in keeping up with mapping and surveying. Those of you that have been paying attention I’m sure are wondering what in the world is going on. So much resetting and balancing of general areas and the equilibrium of energetic states is simply stressing out areas and they’re having to shift to compensate. It’s been driving people to be a little on the crazy side - even when they don’t realize what’s going on. Shield if you have them, because wow …

We’re getting closer to the official start of summer (those of you without four seasons have no idea how exciting it is to be able to go outside in shorts and t-shirts again). This also happens to mean that I have to add in looking after the outside of the house to my list of ‘things to do’. I really don’t mind it though since I like tending to the gardens and lawns. Speaking of the lawn I still haven’t repaired my lawnmower but since my neighbour continues to store his mower at my house I continue to use it as necessary (yes, I oil, clean and fuel it when I’m done).

We’re looking at new fencing. Oh, the joys of building fences (after all these years I spend dismantling mental fences too hahaha). Seriously I have one fence that really needs to be rebuilt. The section that needs rebuilding is about 50m long and 2m high. To be honest it’s needed replacement for a couple of years, but I’ve been putting it off since fences are one of the things I really don’t like to do. For some odd reason I have no problem with decks, but as soon as I go vertical I’m done for.

Trains? Yes, I’ve always had a little bit of a fascination with them. The boys have an unofficial Island of Sodor in the train room, ride on trains in the yard and I’ve recently found a lot of O-gauge styled outdoor track and rolling stock in my garage. Is that it? No, I also have an HO-gauge setup. But this story revolves around the Lionel outdoor stuff that I’ve come across in my garage. The boys and I have decided that an outdoor train set would be a wonderful idea and have devoted a small 3m patch to creating a little layout to enjoy.

Why all this craziness of different things? It’s all about balance. What?! Balance! There needs to be an equal amount of work with play. If you aren’t de-stressing and winding down after doing whatever it is that stresses you up then you aren’t balancing yourself. The more imbalance you create within yourself the more apt you are to succumb to some random energetic nonsense.

I love to work - I love to play. Sure I’d rather play more than work, but if I play too much I find a deep seated need to work for that balance.

Is there a moral to all of this? Not really - it’s all just meant to showcase how psi and its lessons are not a separate aspect of life, but a very intertwined necessity of reality.

As Hera (my wife) is packing for her week away training for her new Ministry position I’m making sure I have my ducks in a row as far as my upcoming week is concerned. Usually I would be in charge of parenting only 3/4 of the time during any given week, but because of Hera being away I’ve had to make some slight changes in my schedules. I am looking forward to Hera’s new position which is much closer to home and will more evenly distribute parenting time, which will translate into less “uber” scheduling for me. Though I tend to have the boys more in any given week than Hera does we always ensure that she can take them to “special” things that I specifically avoid just so the boys and her have their own fun stuff to do together. To give you an idea I don’t take the boys out to eat. Hera on the other hand will get them fast food once a week for lunch as a treat. Finding the balance in family isn’t easy, but then again it isn’t easy with energy either. And as I’ve quoted before, “Nothing worth doing right is ever easy.”

The more I use this blog and reveal more about myself the more questions I’ve had flood into my e-mail. A recurring questions seems to wonder how I have time to accomplish my “psi appointments” if I’m always attempting to be available for family. The answer is quite simply usually. Since there is a group that looks after all of our “psi appointments” there are many that do not have children, or that are single. We schedule as best we can to make sure the non-children people are available for the hours when people like me would normally be having family time. The majority of my open schedule is during school hours, or after the boys are in bed. I can have someone stay at the house without issue once the boys are sleeping. Everyone remains happy since most single people would rather not be tied up for their nights and most family people would rather be available for their families during the day. Oh, that looks like balance too doesn’t it.

There must be some underlying message in today’s post regarding balance in life. I wonder if it’s important?
