The last day of May sees a cooler day across Olympus with the temperature hovering around 17C. The wind is brisk today which is a great thing because it is the annual kite festival on the mountain. The boys and I were already out to watch the kites this morning and if I could’ve convinced Apollo and Hercules not to run off wreaking havoc I probably would have launched a few kites myself. In my younger days I was competitive with stunt kites and even entered competitions with my father in the sychro-kite categories. Admittedly I don’t get out to fly as much as I used to, but when I can I still enjoy taking off for several hours with nothing but the sound of the wind.

Speaking of wind - the sailboat has been in the water for a month and I have yet to get out on it. To be fair we were waiting for the new mainsail to be fitted, so now that we’ve got cloth (well kevlar really) we can get out sailing again. I suppose we could have put the dacron sail back on, but where’s the fun in that? I do believe we have a new spinnaker for the season as well. To my knowledge (we haven’t had it up yet) the new chute is a super bright rainbow pattern meant to dazzle and confuse our competitors during downwind race legs.

We’re still waiting for it to warm up enough to use the pool. I just can’t see myself willfully diving into mid-teen water anymore. Instead I broke out the remote control ships and boats for the boys and I and have turned the pool into a harbour for now. At least the pool is serving a useful purpose instead of the water just sitting around waiting to evaporate.

In other news I finally added Understanding Dreams 101 to the main Psi Palatium Article Archive. I’ve dug up all of AMPsychic’s work and Active Psy for addition too. Miri has also graciously allowed us to post his recent seminar on runes from Psionicsonline, so that will appear as well. This means we’re going to broach the 600 entry barrier this summer. Wow!

It’s the first week of Hera’s (my wife’s) new job and after reading through her new schedule I’m pretty much convinced that she’s trying to kill me. Not that her attempts have ebbed at all over the years, but we’re going to see just how spontaneously flexible my own schedule can be over the next few months. Of course I was well aware of all of this beforehand, and that was one of the driving factors behind owning my own company (flexible schedule). Most of my clients are understanding and sympathetic and know that in a pinch I’ll still be able to get everything they ask for finished - how is a mystery :)

Even with the increased loading provided by Hera’s new line of employment I’ve been managing to squeeze in quite a lot of psi. And to top it all off, because the Dream Course is still running I was able to skip last night and got a good sleep in with one very good dream. Apollo (my younger son) has been really pouring on the telepathy as of late in wanting to communicate ideas without having to voice them. This is quite the contrast from his brother who would much rather verbally communicate an idea before telepathy. Mind you Hercules (the older one) is far more empathic than his brother.

My “trip” for May is completely firmed up and I will be away for an eight day stretch over May TwoFour (ask a Canadian) as I will be a couple thousand kilometers from Olympus. I’ll fill in more details as the time for my absence approaches.

I’m just a little behind in my work these days. I have some major programs that are supposed to break out of their shell mid-Spring, so I’ve been hammering at them in an attempt to make them bullet-proof. I’ve found a new way to stay motivated enough to stay in my chair these days is a new workout routine (and psi appointments) in the morning so that I can work non-stop through the afternoon to dinner time. It doesn’t work every day because of scheduling, but more often than not it does. Knowing where I’m going and exactly how to get there helps thanks to my more recent dreams (read the Dream Course in the Circle).

I haven’t been focusing on psi these days as I’ve been playing around with dream time because of the Dream Course. It’s been a lot of fun especially since I’ve been sleeping a lot more than I usually do in order to get enough fuel to drive the course to the finish line.

In the real world it is tax time again and I’ll be inundated with taxes for the next week, or so. I have a pretty good handle on the issues and good reporting. Just the time needed to put the tax sheets together and pay what I owe is what I don’t have. Guess I’ll just use some psi to make time. (use #482)

Well, it’s been March Break this week and I’ve really attempted to dump as many things, or at least put them off while the boys are home from school. Unfortunately the yard is still slightly swampy to be of much use other than mucking around in the mud - of course that can be fun too. We’ve built and re-built many different things this week and I’ve finally got a handle on this whole Wii phenomenon even if Apollo (the younger one) still regularly beats me at his favourite game. I still think it’s suspect that whenever I’m about to win he tackles me. Somewhere along the line we picked up one of those evil incarnate Wii Fit board things - Hera’s lucky I haven’t thrown that mouthy little thing in the backyard to play in the mud. I won’t even repeat to you how old I was the first time I tried it out, but it was triple digits.

Even with putting off things this week I’ve still been working (the whole money to live aspect) and though I’m behind the ball as far as my desired timeline for project completion I’m still confident that things will turn out for the best. I’ve expanded the scope of what I’m doing for my clients so hopefully they’ll trust in me enough to keep the faith.

This weekend coming sees me out at the farm doing more horse tours at the sugar bush. Record numbers last week tested my vocal chords, but it isn’t supposed to be quite as warm this weekend which will keep the numbers down a little. Though my cousins express disbelief that I actually enjoy doing the tours for that many people they miss the absolute opportunity to see so much energy in one place and the opportunity to network with people that have obvious psi inclinations. Most of my cousins aren’t into psi, though they don’t disbelieve at all, so they just let me do whatever it is that I do. I always say that you should never waste an opportunity to network since you just never know when you might meet a necessary guidepost sitting upon a horse.

I did put off the Dream Class this week. It was as much for me as for the participants since I haven’t seen good postings coming out of the course quite yet. Waiting the week before getting into interpretations just lets everyone take some more time to lucid out their dreamscapes.

Hera’s last shift at her current job comes up next week and then she’s reporting to her new position. She’ll actually be gone for 10 days while she retrains so the boys and I will be on our own. Sacrifices on all sides I suppose, but it makes the future that much brighter and that’s the bottom line.

Reality is what you make it ….

Sorry for the length of time between updates, but I filled my spare time with doing tours at the farm instead of working and playing on computers for the past few days. We had a record number of people show for the Maple Syrup Festival up due to the beautiful weather and thanks to the great commitment by the family we pulled through it with spectacular effectiveness. After talking non-stop for six hours on Saturday and almost eight hours on Sunday you’d think that my voice would be gone, but thanks to the wonders of psi that just doesn’t happen to be the case. There’s another useful feature of psi in everyday life.

The first interpretation classes for the Dream Course are coming this Wednesday and I’m looking forward to seeing people open up about their dreams and the interpretation of the same.

Other than lots of fresh air nothing overly new to report. I’ve been taking the time out at the farm to Dr. Doolittle with the animals since that isn’t a skill I can work on all the time.

I do have some fun things in the wings and will report on those as they come to fruition this week and next.
