A night of driving rain and flooded roads couldn’t keep Hercules and I away from the Monster Jam. Though I cheated a little to keep the car from stalling in several feet of deep flowing water as many other abandoned cars and trucks had we made it to the arena somewhat dry. From there we experienced the wonder of being pelted with dirt thrown up by the big wheels of the trucks and the loud revving of engines. Overall it was a great night and we had tonnes of fun. Herc made lots of new friends with the kids around us and I ended up meeting some new psi contacts, which was a nice bonus. You just never know where people are going to pop into your life! In hindsight because of all the rain I should probably have taken one of the other vehicles that has more ground clearance, but the Matrix did just fine boating us to and fro.

Oh I know some people reading this will be horrified that I as a North American own a Toyota. There are a lot of bumper stickers floating around right now that say “Out of a Job Yet? Keep buying foreign!” But I have to say that my Toyota has given me little issue in the time that I’ve owned it and I expect a lot from my vehicles. Plus the fact that it was made two hours from my house (yes, the Matrix is Canadian built) let’s me get away with it. Not to mention the fact that the “North American” vehicle that I own actually has more foreign parts in it then my Toyota does. Where does this leave the argument? It means that people need to understand what Globalization really means and why they are losing their job because of something that happened elsewhere. The economy is suffering from the Butterfly Effect! If only more people understood psi and the need for responsibility of action things like the current economic crisis could be avoided. Of course if more people knew what being responsible was I’d have a lot more free time too.

The time change has thrown me off somewhat today. As we spring forward an hour it leaves me scrambling to make sure I’m in the corrected timeline (oops). I’m sure to get it by the end of the day so not to worry.

So back in February Hera purchased tickets for Hercules (my oldest son) and I to go to the Monster Jam and watch the monster trucks — interestingly enough she bought the tickets just after that rash of deaths and increasing my life insurance (I’m sure it’s just a coincidence). At any rate tomorrow night Herc and I will be off to the arena. To say that my son is thrilled is something of an understatement since I’m quite sure his enthusiasm could easily make those with a weak bladder wet themselves from second-hand excitement. I should probably make sure to have a nap so I can keep up with him …

The maple sap is running and they’re boiling syrup again. For the 175th year the family is making syrup. I’ve been brushing up on my tour talent as I always enjoy talking to people that can’t escape me, since they’re stuck on the hay wagon, for 20 minutes at a time. I will probably have to pop out to the sugar bush just to talk to the animals and make sure they know what’s going on. No need to have deer jump out and frighten the horses .. not to mention coyotes, or wolves and what have you. Sounds a little like Dr. Doolittle I know, but someone must have realized that humans aren’t the only ones that can be understood using psi.

Being 16 degrees (Celsius for those nice people south of the border) out today it was beautiful and most of the snow has melted. We only have small mounds in the shaded areas now. The boys and I had a chance to get outdoors and dug out the tractors, bikes, motorcycles and extra cool fun stuff that we could ride around on the driveway and lawns. We got a good solid couple hours of play time in before dinner though both boys were just a little down that I refused to put everything back together in the backyard until at least after I return in May. I’m sure they can survive without mazes, trampolines, fortresses, etc for another couple of months.

And as I think about how to finish up this post the alarm begins to sound so now I’m off …
