Spring approaches rapidly as the snow is melting quite quickly today. The year is already flying by since we’re almost three months in already. I continue to finish up on work projects that keep me tied up and away from the community.
Away from the community?! Does that mean I’ve given up on psi? Not a chance. Psi isn’t something you give up on - it is a way of life. It’s been 21 years since my awakening under that old Oak tree and I’m not about to turn my back on over two decades of training, learning and reality steering. I do have to admit it’s been a little odd not being available in the Community every day; however it has given me time to write a few new articles and to come up with some new ideas and directions for the Palatium.
I’m also opening things up a little more. I’ve been steering and planning the Palatium for 13 years and would like to have more input as to where we should be heading, ways to increase regular members and things like that. Please email me with your thoughts zeus (at@at) psipalatium (dot.dot) com.

Not usually one to keep track of time since I tend to jump around within it I found myself yesterday marveling at the fact that we’re halfway through April already. I know that time starts to pass faster as you get older, but wasn’t really expecting it to hit home as it did. Not that its that big a deal really, it just surprised me that such a perception of time sort of jumped at me suddenly. The more I think about it though the more I realize whenever I want to take a different path with how I’m spending my time I become more aware of time in general, so in the end this isn’t a surprise at all.
I’ve decided that I’m going to wrap up the Psi Palatium’s Dream Course with one final official update on the 22nd. I’m going to be keeping the course open until I can finish and transfer the information over to the main site archives, so don’t panic. I took some time out to create a PDF book version of the Dream Course because that is something I’d like to do with all of my series and surprised Nesjamag by giving him a preview of the 42 page document - yes, 42 pages and over 20,000 words! If I can ever get around to putting Skywind’s information back into the archives and include the Dream Course the Palatium is in for a good 100 page update not to mention all of AMPsychic’s information that I have sitting in the wings.
Though I am officially taking some time off from doing direct course work I have already started sketching out my thoughts for my Psychic Readings Course that I hope to run in the Fall of 2009. Since it should begin its run right after, or in the tail end of the Psi Course run by Svenove and Nesjamag I think it will be a great opportunity for people to learn. I’ve been running the Palatium for over 12 years now and really wanted to head up courses that I haven’t done in the last decade while allowing other staff members the opportunity to flex their skill set in teaching and guiding psi (that’s why you’re getting Dreams and Readings from me).
Oh yes - don’t be afraid to comment if you wish to. I have to approve your initial comment, but after that they just appear. I’m always happy to get feedback from people

It’s been a couple of days since I posted last and some of my more recent (irl) conversations have centred around my thoughts on paid psychics vs. unpaid psychics. Paid psychics would be the people that request money and profit from the giving of insight to another, and unpaid psychics would be people that provide insight without monetary gain.
To be quite honest I’m of two minds on this subject since I believe that if someone puts in enough time to call their “psychic” business full time then they should be paid for it. Saying that I am always careful to add that to me it is more important the caliber of psychic than whether or not they wish to be compensated for their insights. I truly believe that it is far more important to weed out frauds and hacks from the masses than anything else. If another person could be 100% sure a person was a good psychic then they would be able to decide whether to spend money, or find someone that works for free.
Back when we first opened the Psi Palatium’s chat channel several staff members and general members would give free readings several hours a week both for practice and free insight for others. Unfortunately over the years as free things go people took advantage of the service and enough volunteer psychics didn’t have enough time to provide the service and so we’ve gotten away from doing psychic readings openly as much as we used to. I’ve been tossing around the idea of doing a class series devoted to insight and psychic readings once my upcoming dream course finishes up where we could practice in the chat channel once again (it’s actually loads of fun if you can find the time to put into it).
So, paid or unpaid? I don’t think it really matters as long as the psychic is moral, honest, and accurate (as can be said of a psychic).
And that brings about a whole other series of questions on accuracy. How accurate is psychic insight, or any psi ability that involves seeing? That really depends on the person and their experience, but anything over 75% accuracy is far above chance and gives a person enough information to make a decision for themselves. How accurate am I? That answer depends on the day, my mood, how much energy I have, what I’m doing …. I was in my usual twelve windows of conversations plus Skype the other evening when someone asked for a demonstration. I declined because of the inability to focus, but a little while later I found myself talking about remote viewing in five of the twelve conversations which of course flipped it on for me and I was looking at different locations. I was not focused and so had to ask who’s room had a green easy chair with a dark binder on it (in the corner) and who’s room had the small green sofa with light on the ground. Turns out it was a green recliner with a white binder in shadow in one room and a green loveseat with a lamp on the floor in another. To me I knew they were different locations but associating them with the person just wasn’t happening because of the lack of focus. As for accuracy .. not bad .. I got the colour of the binder incorrect and the type of lamp on the floor wrong - still it was enough in the right locations (there was of course more explanation to the RV sessions) to pinpoint, for the people I was talking to, their own room. Is that conclusive? Of course not! People on both sides of the argument can make up all kinds of conversations from what I just said.
In the end — the decision is yours to make — paid or unpaid — accurate or not — take the responsibility upon yourself

Though this will serve to be primarily a personal blog site I thought I’d start with something Psi Palatium related.
The beginning of the Psi Palatium (and not entirety at large) is a story that isn’t told very often; however I am asked occasionally about our origins. Seeing as this is the first post in my, hopefully often updated, blog I thought it only fitting to begin at the beginning.
It all began back in late 1994 when I took delivery of my brand new Pentium-class computer. With such raw power available to me I was able to surf the web (as it were) at speeds never before imagined. It was during one of my long jaunts on the Internet that I stumbled across an Online psychic community that was run by AMPsychic. After being a member for some time AMPsychic made me an Operator in his Undernet chat channel and I (along with many other operators) would give free psychic readings to visitors to the community. It was during my days as an Operator in AMPsychic’s community that }PsiBOT{ was first created and that I continued to hone my psychic-at-a-distance skills. Unfortunately as happens a division appeared in the community and rather than choose sides I decided to take my leave of both communities and started the Psi Temple in 1997, which morphed into the Psi Palace and eventually stuck with the name Psi Palatium. Shortly after starting the Palatium AMPsychic closed his community and then reopened it on MSN as Psychic Readings and Chat and changed his nickname to OldReader. His community is still available on Multiply; however it is now run by extended operators has OldReader himself passed away in 2007.
The Psi Palatium website (which is overhauled every couple of years) is the main focus of articles and lessons presented by the staff and experienced members of the community. As it sits right now there are almost 600 entries and I have all of AMPsychic’s material to post still. But the chat channel is the true heart of the community. The IRC chat channel keeps the staff and members in contact and allows us to innovate and continue to learn as the years roll by. We’ve also been witness to many members that return after being away for a number of years only to find their friends and community right where they left them.
While typing this I realize that the Psi Palatium’s 12th anniversary just passed by and I can’t think of a better testiment to an Online community than to see it still thriving after more than a decade.
So, that’s the story of how the Psi Palatium sprang forth. Of course I left out the parts about the long hours of dedication by the staff to keep things going all these years but I’m quite sure you would have guessed at that already.
Thank you to everyone for all the support and continued friendship in the community throughout the years. Let’s continue that into the future!
