A night of driving rain and flooded roads couldn’t keep Hercules and I away from the Monster Jam. Though I cheated a little to keep the car from stalling in several feet of deep flowing water as many other abandoned cars and trucks had we made it to the arena somewhat dry. From there we experienced the wonder of being pelted with dirt thrown up by the big wheels of the trucks and the loud revving of engines. Overall it was a great night and we had tonnes of fun. Herc made lots of new friends with the kids around us and I ended up meeting some new psi contacts, which was a nice bonus. You just never know where people are going to pop into your life! In hindsight because of all the rain I should probably have taken one of the other vehicles that has more ground clearance, but the Matrix did just fine boating us to and fro.

Oh I know some people reading this will be horrified that I as a North American own a Toyota. There are a lot of bumper stickers floating around right now that say “Out of a Job Yet? Keep buying foreign!” But I have to say that my Toyota has given me little issue in the time that I’ve owned it and I expect a lot from my vehicles. Plus the fact that it was made two hours from my house (yes, the Matrix is Canadian built) let’s me get away with it. Not to mention the fact that the “North American” vehicle that I own actually has more foreign parts in it then my Toyota does. Where does this leave the argument? It means that people need to understand what Globalization really means and why they are losing their job because of something that happened elsewhere. The economy is suffering from the Butterfly Effect! If only more people understood psi and the need for responsibility of action things like the current economic crisis could be avoided. Of course if more people knew what being responsible was I’d have a lot more free time too.

The time change has thrown me off somewhat today. As we spring forward an hour it leaves me scrambling to make sure I’m in the corrected timeline (oops). I’m sure to get it by the end of the day so not to worry.

I managed to add another client to my ever growing list of work for my company today. Oh, for those of you that don’t know about this - I own a Business IT Company, which is my bread and butter. Psi, like most people in the community, is just a part of my life that I share with everyone. Not that I didn’t know that they were coming onboard, but it’s nice to have a solid client base to ensure that we can ride through the economic downturn. Even being a psychic there are surprises that can turn up that we need to weather. That probably leads to my favourite misconception regarding psychics … that they know everything. Obviously that isn’t the case and people need to realize the absurdity of it, but still they just expect you to know. Silly.

With the weather turning warmer and the snow almost all melted I really need to wash the vehicles. Hera backed the car out of the garage and I couldn’t tell what colour it was supposed to be it was so covered in grime and salt. It’s a good thing all the warranties guard against rust because the salt and water combination all over just screams corrosion. Incidentally that car is supposed to be “shiny baby poop” as its original colour (look up sundance metallic in Toyota’s 2009 line). It happens every year of course but it never ceases to amaze me at how dirty the vehicles get running around the countryside.
